  1. I love the first chapter so far, especially the banter. You should’ve been in charge of writing for the actual show instead of Julie Plec. I can’t wait to read more of this story!

    1. I’m working on it! I wanted to get ahead a few chapters, and make some progress on Odd Days before i start updating this one. But I suspect I’ll be posting the next chapter of this in a week or so!

  2. Great start so far! I’m definitely curious about the Yeye of Honey Island because of Damon’s reaction to hearing their name. I’m enjoying the dynamic between Damon and Bonnie so far. I can’t wait to see that relationship progress in the next chapters!

    1. Yeah this is going to be a fun one for me with the witchcraft stuff! The Yeye dont play, lol! It will update soon (still figuring out this new site and adding, editing, and writing fics) – but I wanted to at least post the first chapter before the TVD finale.

    1. In this context, Yeye is Yoruban for “mother”, and it’s a title used for priestesses/elders in Orisha traditions (afro-caribbean goddesses like Oshun, Yemaya, etc). And down south it’s slang for ‘yes’ sometimes, but mainly used for a female ancestor. In my family we use Yeye like other families say Big Momma, LOL
But all will be explained in the next chapter!
